“The trio would like to announce their next festival at the RWCMD from 16-19 Feb 2017, ‘Twilight of the Tsars’. Concerts with the Gould Piano Trio, friends and students, with music from the time of pre revolution Russia will mark the 100 year anniversary of events that changed the course of history.
They are also delighted to have been chosen as Artistic Directors of the 2017-18 Leeds International Chamber Season, a season of 6 concerts, more details to follow soon…….”
The Gould Piano Trio are delighted to announce their successful application to the PRS Music Foundation scheme “Beyond Borders”. This will enable the talented young composer, Mark Simpson, to compose a piece for the trio for performances in 2017. This, being the trio’s 25th anniversary, will be an exciting way to celebrate this milestone in the trio’s life.
They are also gearing up for their festival at the RWCMD in February, titled ‘Beethoven in Revolution’. Together with guests the Elias Quartet, David Adams, Rachel Roberts, Robert Plane and many more, they will explore many of the major chamber works of Beethoven and other composers whom Beethoven’s influence was evident in particular works.
